The developed 7.5 kw (10hp) submersible pumpset meets the requirements of the IS 8034.
The developed 10hp submersible pumpset operates at lower voltage of 320V (-15%) without drop in the efficiency values
The efficiency values of submersible motors at 415V and 320V are compatible with imported makes motors. The efficiency values are constant from 75% load to 110% load
The efficiency curves are having flat characteristics as stated above. Hence any small change in the operating point will not affect the efficiency.
The present day overall efficiency of the existing 10hp submersible pump set having same duty point of 90m head and 300 lpm, 10 stage is around 46% (As per IS 8034-2002 the overall efficiency is 44.1%). The achieved overall efficiency of upgraded 10 hp submersible pump set is 53%.
