Objectives 

Quality of a product is assessed by measuring certain parameters.  No measurement is perfect.  There is always some amount of uncertainty associated with any measurement.  It is very essential, therefore to know the various contributing factors and their extent of contribution to the final value of measuring parameter.  Knowledge of uncertainty is mandatory for all testing and calibration activities as per NABL, Dept. of Science and Technology, Govt. of India norms. 

ERDA is organizing a one-day training course on “Measurement Uncertainties in Testing & Calibration” on 16^th June 2011 to impart knowledge on calculation of uncertainty in testing and calibration (Electro–technical, Mechanical and Thermal). 

Topics 

The course includes lectures and demonstrations on: 

§  Introduction to uncertainty measurement
§  Uncertainty measurement in calibration (electro-technical and thermal)
§  Uncertainty measurement in calibration (mechanical)
§  Uncertainty measurement in testing

Persons involved in testing, measurement and calibration 

Faculty 

Experienced Engineers / Scientists from ERDA. 

Course Fees 

ERDA Members            – Rs. 2000/- per person
Non Members                –  Rs. 2500/- per person 

+ Service tax @ 10.3% is applicable on above fees 

Discount:    Any organization deputing 3 or more participants will be eligible for 10% discount in the course fees. 

Fees include the lunch, refreshments and complete set of documentation. Participants have to make their own arrangements for accommodation and conveyance.

Nominations can be made by sending duly filled in registration form provided. Course fees can be through Demand Draft /at par cheque for appropriate amount favoring “Electrical Research & Development Association” payable at Vadodara.
