Objectives

A wide variety of insulating materials find extensive use in almost every field of electrical engineering.  With the advent of a large number of new insulating materials, testing various properties as a quality control measure is inevitable.  This ensures consistency in quality besides checking conformity to functional requirements.  There are different methods of testing the materials and a thorough knowledge of the same is very essential especially for the quality control personnel.

ERDA is organising a two day Training Course on “Evaluation of Solid Insulating Materials used in Electrical Industry” on 14^th and 15^th of July 2011 to impart knowledge of insulating materials, their properties and testing methods.

Topics

·          Introduction to solid insulating materials and their evaluation

·          High voltage testing of insulating materials

·          Industrial applications

·          Applications of instrumental analyses in the evaluation of insulation materials

Followed by practical demonstrations

Target Group

Fresh Engineers and those with 2-3 years work experience engaged in testing, purchase, R&D etc., will find the course highly beneficial.

Registration fee :

ERDA Members –  `  3500/- per participant  &  Non Members – `  4000/- per participant
+ Service Tax: 10.30%

Discount:     Any organization deputing 3 or more participants will be eligible for 10%   discount in the course fee

Participants have to make their own arrangements for accommodation and conveyance.
