1. Knowledge of electrical engineering in particular to power equipment, insulation systems and metallic, ceramic, polymers and composite materials used in the same (Essential).

2. Knowledge of evaluation of equipment as per national & international standards for all electrical parameters including high-voltage, impulse, short-circuits, EMI/EMC, environmental parameters such as IP, Vibration, Shock, etc. (Essential)

3. Knowledge of data analysis techniques, error & uncertainty analysis (Essential).

4. Knowledge of applications of following mentioned power sector products – Generators, transformers, switchgears, pumps, motors, solar modules, batteries, invertors, cables, CT/PTs, T&D line conductors, insulators and hardware, t Electrical insulations (solid & liquid), , structural components of T&D lines (Desirable).
