ERDA Achieves Unique Benchmark in High Voltage Testing
ERDA proudly marks a new benchmark with the successful completion of Switching Impulse Flashover & Withstand Test and Dry Power Frequency Voltage Withstand Test on a 362 kV Disconnector — a unique product tested in ERDA’s history.
This significant accomplishment was made possible by the collective efforts of our Impulse–Makarpura and Partial Discharge teams.
- The Switching Impulse test was carried at 1520 kVp test voltage using ERDA’s 2400 kVp Impulse Generator.
- The Dry Power Frequency Withstand test was performed at 670 kV test voltage using a 900 kV HV source, in accordance with IEEE C37.30.1 (2022).
The technically demanding process, completed after days of meticulous planning and diligent efforts, highlights ERDA’s advanced capabilities in high-voltage product evaluation.
